It is our mission to provide access to high quality, affordable mental health services where our clients and community can explore change, and find new perspectives.
Having hope is vital. We believe that everybody can grow and change, it is our role to provide a place and the tools to do so.
Mental health is as important as physical health. We believe that everyone should have a therapist in the same way everyone should have a primary physician. Even if we are not the right fit for you, we will help you find someone who is.
Transparency, ethics, and consistency. We believe it is important to hold ourselves and our staff to the highest ethical standards both professionally and personally.
Providing our time and resources.
Providing training and resources for students and new clinicians. We believe in helping new therapists become the best they can be. It is important to us to provide classes, supervision, and internship opportunities to help clinicians be their best so they can provide their best to others.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We recognize the inequity of the mental health system for marginalized groups and underrepresented groups. This is a systemic issue and we recognize that as a part of the mental healthcare system - we need to be an active part of the change that is needed. We pledge to do better, be better and challenge ourselves and the status quo.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are actions that are vital to changing the way that we can impact the mental health care system. We are committed to equitable mental health services without discrimination or harassment of any kind. All clients will be treated with dignity, compassion and respect.
Dr. Sanderson and Associates will actively be a part of the conversation of change. Both individually and collectively as a team we will seek to do our own work and challenge ourselves and the community to change the system. Our team is encouraged to get involved in personal growth and the local, state and national efforts to create systemic change.
As a practice we will be intentional about our efforts to support and advocate for clients and staff in terms of hiring and diversity. We are committed to partnering with therapists in our area as we build a diverse team of interns and professionals within Dr. Sanderson and Associates.
We know that systemic change requires transparency and accountability. We welcome open dialogue and feedback as we learn and grow. We anticipate challenging and uncomfortable conversations throughout this process and we welcome them.
